Skincare routine

I know, you have been asking for this forever!
From my last skincare post you would have seen I’ve been a lover of natural skincare products. I also love to try new remedies!

With my birthday coming up it was great timing that YesTo sent me their latest range to try (YesTo Tomatoes).

I have naturally oily skin so I needed something to cater to that - this range (YesTo Tomatoes) was the perfect one.

Everyone’s skin is different - I’m only sharing tips which work for me, but it’s best to try out or seek professional advice.

1. The cleanser - If you don’t use a cleanser at the moment, I’d advise you quickly go to the shop and purchase one. It’s great at removing all that clogged dirt, especially make-up! I’d recommend this one or any miceller water because it’s very gentle on the skin and around the eyes.

2. Exfoliate - This is key! Especially if you have oily skin like me. I use a very gentle exfoliator about 4-5 times a week. Like I said above, everyone’s skin is different so you would need to cater to what is best for you.

3. The perfect mask - Now this depends on your skin type. But in my circumstance I have oily skin, so a mud mask works best. I use a mask once a week at the minimum. It helps lift any unwanted oils in the skin and tackles clogged pores.

4. The moisturiser - I personally like this to be very light and not too oily and this YesTo moisturiser is exactly that. A small amount goes a long way and I also use it under my make up. I sometimes use a separate night cream too, which is slightly thicker and heavier since it’s got the whole night to soak into the skin!

Below are the trusty products from YesTo’s new range that I have been using for the past month and they have done wonders to my skin. (See unfiltered image below)

You can purchase the products at Boots, Sainsbury’s, BeautyBay, LookFantastic and Feelunique.

I’d highly recommend them. Feel free to get in touch if you have any specific questions.

Elan Cafe | Knightsbridge

How do I even start this post?... because honestly the images do it so much justice. This place has been dubbed the most 'Instagrammable cafe' in London. There are two branches one in Knightsbridge which I visited and the other in Park Lane. You must have heard of it or seen images on social media - if not, I'm sure after flicking through my post it will be added to your 'go-to' list.

Elan Cafe caught my attention when I saw the flower wall on Instagram (you can see this below).  I made a day out of it and took a stroll around Knightsbridge, which is beautiful area.

My friend Betty (pictured below) will upload a review of the cafe on her food blog. So I'll link that here. Otherwise enjoy the images and if you have any questions leave a comment :)

Stylist Live

Last Saturday I attended the Stylist Live event for the first and I must say I really enjoyed it. If you have been before you know it's a chilled vibe but there's load to do; from panel discussions, catwalk shows and loads of food/beauty/fashion stalls. It's also a good place to meet new people and other bloggers!

I couldn't get over how many Instagrammable back drops there were. I didn't get to take pics behind them all because of the long queues ... yes QUEUES .. Everyone loves to 'Do it for the Gram' these days lol.

Check it out here and try and catch it next year!

California LOVE

My boyfriend and I had planned to go to New York and Miami but due to Hurricane Irma, British Airways gave us free flights to California!, Now guys – when I found out I was going to LA, I nearly fainted! I watch Keeping up with the Kardashians and the other many shows filmed in LA and have been dreaming of visiting. Never did I think the opportunity would arise so soon. So I didn’t have as much time to do my research but hey, I didn’t need to. I always had an LA wish list on my phone.

Unlike NY where you can catch tube (subway), in LA public transport is quite difficult. I would highly recommend hiring a car, which is what we did. It saved us so much time and hassle and we were able to see a lot more – in our own time.

So we stayed in Long Beach but travelled to LA everyday. Other places we visited were Santa Monica, Burbank and Hollywood. The whole trip to America was about 10 days so we didn’t have time to do everything. We got to do majority of the tourist things. I’m glad I got a taster of NY and LA because I know I have to go back and do a lot more.

But in all seriousness – Los Angeles was nothing like I had imaged .. it was MORE! Stunning city and I can’t do the description much justice. I felt like I was in a movie the whole time. I posted load of videos on my Instagram stories (follow me @chanelle_92) for my next getaway.

Any let me leave the pics to do all the talking. As mentioned in the NY post if you have any questions let me know J
